Abstract
|

|
The cell renewal behavior of sebaceous gland from lateral abdominal skin of 95 normal adult male mice has been studied by means of autoradiography after the intravenous injection of tritiated thymidine.
1. Maximal labelings were observed at one hour after the injection, and thereafter, gradual decrease of labeling rate was noted until 8 hours.
2. It appears to be that some of the labeled cells underwent re-dividing at 9 hours after the injection. 3. Few of the labeling cells were remained until 48 hours after the injection. 4. Concerning the diurnal variation, the value was found to occur in the morning group.
